What do I have to do to use In the Know!

We then invite you to test drive In the Know! This allows you to explore In the Know! on your own. We have added data to illustrate its features – you and your team can add projects and team members, change the passwords, and so on!
Getting started with your own In the Know! site is straightforward. You will need very little technical assistance, because there is nothing to download or install. The software is hosted on our secure server and payment is by subscription on a month-by-month basis. Once your site is set up, you will be ready to go in minutes. Our customer support team is also available to help during regular business hours.

What does In the Know! cost?
In the Know! is software as a service. Our subscription fee is $199 per month, per team (not per user!) and we give you the first month free! Sign up today and we will give you an additional 15 days free. Discounts are available for nonprofits, micro-organizations, and multiple teams in larger organizations.
You can cancel your subscription at any time. We do not refund payments for partial months.
We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, DiscoverCard® and American Express®. To make things easy, we automatically renew your subscription and charge your credit card at the beginning of each month unless we hear from you otherwise.
Do I have to pay for each user?
Our pricing is simple and cost-effective. We offer In the Know! for a flat fee per month, per team. There are no limits on the number of initiatives or team members.
Will I be charged for upgrades or additional features
Upgrades are free!
As we grow, we will be offering additional features and premium services. These features will be offered to our customers at a competitive price.
What kind of IT hardware, software or support do I need?
In the Know! is accessed through the web so all you need is an internet connection and a web browser. For the browser, we recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer®, version 7. There is nothing to download or install so you will need very little technical support. If you are having any difficulties, our customer support team is ready to help. You can be up and running in minutes.
Can I run it on my own server?
No. We offer In the Know!® as a web-based service because this allows us to deliver superior solution to our customers. There is no installation or maintenance. Upgrades are instant and painless, and the software can be accessed from anywhere.
We can provide dedicated servers for organizations that need them.
Security is really important to me. Can anyone else access my data?
Each customer is set up with a unique URL address to access his or her data via our server. Your In the Know!® site is password controlled and you determine who may have access to it. Authorizing team members and providing them with a logon and password is done through the “Preferences” section of In the Know!®.
Consistent with industry standards, our site is 128-bit SSL encrypted and secure. This means that all the data that is sent between your personal computer and our server is encrypted.
What happens if the system goes down?
Reliability is as critical to us as it is to you. A firewall, mirroring, and aggressive back-up procedures are in place to protect your data at all times.
Who owns my data?
You do! If you would like to download your data, please talk to us and we’ll help you to do this. If you choose to cancel your subscription at any time, we will store the data temporarily before it is deleted from our server.
Tell me about training and customer support.
More than likely, you and your team will find In the Know! familiar and intuitive from the start. Experienced organizational and usability experts designed In the Know! so that it's intuitive and easy to use. It can be customized to use your terminology and workflow. Most users just need a few minutes to get comfortable with it.
We provide user guides and flash presentations to help you and your team get familiar with In the Know!
If you need any further assistance, we will provide you with customer support. Our professionals are ready to help with technical issues, set up, team orientation, and will give advice on using In the Know! to improve team performance. We also offer fee-based consulting services for customers who need a little more.
Am I able to customize In the Know!®?
Yes. In the Know! can be personalized and customized from the start. Add your company’s name, logo, and any messages for the team to the Welcome Page. Replace our terminology with your own, and set up the workflow to suit your needs.
You can also set up roles for your team members, set up categories for projects, and even integrate your own web pages into the site.
